The Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation recently donated $20,000 to the Tiftarea House of Hope, a women’s shelter in Tifton. These funds will be utilized to supply household repairs for the shelter and will provide safe housing for homeless women and women with children in the area.
Since its founding in 2017, the Tiftarea House of Hope has assisted numerous women in our community. They are often credited for bridging the gap between poverty and sustainability. In the past eight years, the Tiftarea House of Hope has served 277 women and 88 children.
“The TRMC Foundation is pleased to offer financial assistance to the Tiftarea House of Hope. We rely heavily on their services, and it has offered safe housing to many in our community,” states Mandy Brooks, Executive Director of the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation.
