Brother Charlie’s, a men’s shelter in Tifton, Georgia, recently received a $50,000 donation from the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation.
These funds will be used for house maintenance, supplies and utilities. Since 1979, Brother Charlie’s has been a well-known name in the Tifton community. In 2024, ninety-three residents were housed, and after one year, fifty percent of the residents had moved into stable housing.
Currently, Brother Charlie’s has sixty dorm beds and seven conventional beds. “It is a privilege for us to help Brother Charlie’s with their needs. They have been an influential partner in our community, and they are making a difference in the lives of area residents,” states Mandy Brooks, Executive Director of the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation.
