TRMC to close sections of 2nd and 3rd floors for renovations

Please pardon our progress as Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) closes sections of its 2nd and 3rd floors for renovations that will enhance patient care and comfort.

  • The closures will begin on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, and will be in effect for approximately six months.
  • This will result in guest detours to OB/Mother Baby and the Cardiac Step Down Unit as well as staff detours to the Heart and Vascular Center/Cath Lab.
  • The 2nd and 3rd floor connectors from the TRMC Tower will not be accessible.
  • Elevator A will not be in use during this phase of construction.

DIRECTONS FOR OUR PATIENTS AND VISITORS TO THESE UNITS:

     Obstetrics and Mother Baby [OB/MB], 2nd Floor:

Please use Elevator D.

  • Go to the cafeteria. 
  • Once at the cafeteria, look up and follow the purple dots to Elevator D.
    • Go through the Observation Unit to get to Elevator D. 
    • After 7 pm, the Observation Unit is locked.  If after 7 pm, please use the button on the wall for entry.

     Cardiac Step Down Unit [CSDU], 3rd Floor:

  • If accessing from 20th Street Lobby, please use Elevator F.
  • If accessing from 18th Street Lobby, please use Elevator C to the 3rd floor. Follow the signs to CSDU.
