Southwell is pleased to welcome Joel Cohen, DO, and Bonni Cohen, DNP, to Southwell Cardiology in Adel.
The providers are now seeing patients at Southwell Specialty Clinic, located at 150 MJ Taylor Road. The new clinic is in a temporary location on the Southwell Medical campus, located next to Southwell Medical Adel Primary Care.
Dr. Cohen, an interventional cardiologist, and Bonni Cohen provide evaluation and treatment for cardiovascular disease, comprehensive heart failure care, in-office electrocardiograms and outpatient intravenous Lasix therapy.
Patients also have convenient access to outpatient cardiac testing at Southwell Medical, including:
- Echocardiograms
- Event and Holter monitors
- Stress testing
- Transesophageal echocardiograms
- Cardioversions
- Implantable loop recorders
If a patient requires cardiac catheterization or coronary intervention, the procedure can be performed at Tift Regional Medical Center, providing continuity of care within the Southwell system.
The addition of Dr. Cohen and Cohen expands access to specialized heart care for patients in Adel, Cook County and surrounding communities, allowing more patients to receive evaluation, treatment and follow-up care close to home.
