Renee Moorman Scholarship

The Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation recently presented the Renee Moorman Scholarship to Shawnice Pierce of Tifton. This $1,500 scholarship was established in memory of Renee Moorman, who had a deep passion for nursing, by her family and Dr. Larry Moorman. This annual award is used to assist with educational expenses.
Shawnice Pierce, this year’s award recipient, is currently a student at Wiregrass Technical College, where she is pursuing her Registered Nurse degree. Shawnice currently works at Southwell Express Care and has recently been nominated for the Dixon Dorminy Employee of the Month. Shawnice states, “Nursing is a career you must be sure of; you must wake up ready to strive for excellence every day. Nursing requires a love for helping others and a thirst for knowledge, so you can provide the best possible care to the community you are serving.”
