Seventeen nurses recently completed Southwell’s Transition to Practice Program!
This educational program, coordinated by Learning and Development, provides support for newly graduated nurses during their first year of practice as they move into a professional nurse role.
The nurses attended monthly sessions to practice skills, perform simulated patient care scenarios, and mock drills. They also completed a performance improvement project focused on increasing the number of scanned saline flushes. With much work, the nurses increased the number of scanned flushed by 100 percent!
Congratulations to all! Great job.
