Tift Regional Medical Center Earns Platinum Safety Award from GHA

Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) has received the 2025 Platinum Safety Award from the Georgia Hospital Association Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund. The award recognizes TRMC’s strong workplace safety performance and superior accident experience during calendar year 2025.

TRMC recorded a loss ratio of 8.5% of its premium for 2025, as evaluated March 31, 2026. The Georgia Hospital Association also recognized the hospital for achieving low accident frequency and severity and for handling claims in a timely and efficient manner.

“This award reflects the commitment of our team members to maintaining a safe environment for one another, our patients and everyone who enters our facility,” said Lori Folsom, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources with Southwell. “Workplace safety requires the participation of every department, and we are proud of our employees for making it a priority each day.”

The Platinum Safety Award highlights TRMC’s continued focus on accident prevention, prompt incident response and responsible claims management. These efforts help protect employees while supporting a safe, reliable environment for patient care.
